Chem Rev #1 - Fundamentals of Matter

Chemistry is a very confusing subject to students with difficulties imagining what is happening when a reaction takes place. The real problem with it is that students do not see many chemical reactions taking place around them.... or so it seems.

To the keen observer, chemical reactions are in fact very much alive and real in every part of our daily lives! We just need to observe them.

Before we go too far into reactions in chemistry.. let us first understand matter.
By the end of this revision you should be able to answer these few questions:

Questions on the ATOM
1) What are all matter made of?
2) What are the characteristics of all the sub-atomic particles?
3) How do sub-atomic particles make up the ATOM?
4) What makes different elements?
5) What are isotopes and what are the similarities and differences?
6) How do you get an ION?

With a little bit of HELP, lets turn to a good tutorial website to see what we can learn from it!
